Heather Nicholson, born August 15, 1970 in Quebec, of sculptor William Nicholson

and painter Margret Mandzuk, moved to rainy, piny San Juan Island (Washinton

State) in 1990 and bought land from her father, on which she allows all manner

of weirdos to live blissfully near her warm generosity (which includes

invitations to try the claw-footed bathtub in the ancestral hall in the middle of Cocktail

Hour, the establishing of a gothic bar in the atelier, numerous gifts of green

or ripe tomatos from the vines hanging above said claw-footed tub, and highly

perfected crepes suzettes).
